GDPR and BA Life

In 2016, the European Commission approved and adopted the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). GDPR is a significant change in data protection regulation in the EU and replaces the existing legal framework (the Data Protection Directive and the various member state laws). Which came into effect on May 25, 2018. BALIFE Limited ("the Company") is fully committed to achieving and upholding ongoing compliance with GDPR prior to the effective date.

Here’s some data security information you need to know

​Contract details

During a trial, you are under no contract. If subscribed monthly, you are on a monthly contract but can cancel at any time. If subscribed annually, you are on a yearly (12 months) contract but can cancel at any time.

​File Systems and Communication

All access to our websites including this site (www.balife.co.uk) is restricted to HTTPS encrypted connections.

User passwords are secured with encryption techniques. They are never stored in the database in plain text and are not readable by staff.

​Data that the Company stores

Your name and email addresses.

Your access data.

Data storage

Currently, all data and data backups are stored on our Server in the United States. We do not back up any of your accounts (or your customer’s) data in other locations.

Data deletion handling

Customers and subscribers can delete their accounts or subscriptions at any time. Once an account is deleted it will be completely removed from our systems within 7 days. Alternatively you can request that we delete your account by emailing help[at]balife.co.uk

​Data protection measures

We have a number of security measures in place to protect data present in your account. Additionally, the Company keeps all of your accounts data completely isolated from other accounts.

​Third-party services

The Company shares as little data as possible with 3rd parties. If we share data, it is only your email address and cookie data used for reasons described below.

The only 3rd parties we work with are:

  • Google Analytics – tracking views of websites owned by the Company
  • Facebook Advertising – retargeting and advertising the Company
  • Google Adwords – retargeting and advertising the Company
  • Convertri – hosting for our websites, including our main training site, www.balife.co.uk
  • Stripe - payment processing (all data held on their site under their GDPR governance)

Access controls

Our staff will never access your account unless required for support reasons. When working a support issue we do our best to respect your privacy as much as possible, we only access the minimum data needed to resolve your issue.

Finally, it’s worth noting the Company is a very small organisation, so access to any data is very limited.
